Russia bans import of pork from Spain and Germany, the first European pig producers.

On February 4th Russia closed its borders to pork from Germany and on March 29th could be the same with Spain if the meeting between the Rosselkhoznadzor and the Magrama do not remedy tomorrow in Moscow.

The meeting of Sergey Darkvert, the Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, with Valentin Almansa de Lara, the Director-General of Agricultural Production Health Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA), is going to take place in Moscow on March 27. The meeting will be devoted to the discussion of safety issues concerning Spanish food products supervised by the State Veterinary Service and delivered to the Customs Union market.
