WIM DELVOYE AND HIS TATTOED PIGS

Pigs can expect to be branded, but one farm has turned the process into an art form, decorating them from head to toe with tattoos. Crowds are flocking to Art Farm China in Yang Zhen, Beijing, where Belgian artist Wim Delvoye displays his colourful sows and boars.The animals are still on display to farm visitors while they are anaesthetised and decorated with designs by Wim and his co-artists

2013: THE ODYSSEY FOR EUROPEAN PIG PRODUCERS AND THE OPPORTUNITIES FOR USA

On January 1st 2013 all European pig farms must be adapted to the new Animal Welfare Regulations for Livestock. European pig producers will assume the high costs for the  compliance of our farms with the new regulations, the decline in pig production, the subsequent rising costs and the lose of competitiveness in comparison to non-European producers that do not have to implement such restrictive standards.
